Hi, I'm Tairan

EECS & Neuroscience at MIT

I study Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT, with a minor in Brain and Cognitive Sciences.

I'm most interested in robots that learn to handle the messy real world. That means robot learning from human demonstrations, autonomy, and touch: giving robot hands tactile sensing so they can grab, move, and use things the way people do. I like working across the whole stack, from the circuit boards and firmware up to the learned policies.

Outside the lab, I wrestle, paint watercolors, and think a lot about fashion, perception, and the brain.
